One of the things my crew looks forward to most each Christmas is the cookies we bake together as a family. And this recipe for Chocolate Crinkle Cookies is the best.
Easy Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
They look like little snowballs after being rolled in powdered sugar.
Print the recipe below!
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate melted and cooled
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
In a large bowl, mix oil, cooled chocolate, sugar and vanilla.
Stir in eggs, one at a time.
Stir in flour and baking powder.
Cover and refrigerated at least 3 hours.
Heat oven to 350°.
Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar.
Roll around to coat and shape into balls.
Place about 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly in center.
Immediately remove to cooling racks.
They make a great addition to any cookie platter for Christmas Eve. Or stack and wrap them up to give to friends.
Our favorite way to eat them is with a cold glass of milk around the fire or by the Christmas tree.
They’re very hard to resist!
But who can blame them? It’s hard to wait for mom to take the pictures for the blog!
